Charlotte water heater replacement quote checklist
By Ted Farino, pilot editor · Published · Updated
General information; not reviewed as advice for your installation.
Start with your ZIP code, the problem, the tank’s fuel type, where it is located, and when you need help. If you can safely read the label, note the brand, model, and capacity. You can still ask for help if some details are unknown.
The five details our request form collects
The pilot asks for only the information needed to describe the request. It does not collect a street address or payment details.
- Your ZIP code: our initial target is 28209, 28210, 28211, 28226, 28270, and 28277.
- The request: replace an existing tank, no hot water, a leak, or a new tank installation.
- Fuel and location: gas, electric, hybrid, or unknown; garage, utility space, attic, or other.
- Timing and authority: when you need help and whether you own or manage the property.
- A first name and a phone number or email, with permission to respond.
Useful details for the contractor’s actual quote
Ask the contractor what additional information they need, whether an assessment is required, and what their quote includes. Unit selection, removal of the existing tank, installation scope, and any required connection changes should be clear before you agree to the work.
Use the checklist before accepting a quote
Keep a copy of each written quote and ask each provider to fill the gaps below. An unanswered item is a question for the contractor, not proof that the job is unsuitable. Compare the same fuel, capacity, location, and work scope before comparing totals.
- Ask whether a site assessment is needed before the price is firm.
- Ask how you will approve unexpected work and its price.
- Confirm who will perform the work, the expected timing, and where to direct a warranty question.
- Record the quote date and how long the offer is valid. This guide is free to use; no request is required.
What submitting here does
Hot Water Charlotte collects requests and contacts homeowners about whether a contractor introduction can be arranged. No contractor is assigned yet. A saved request is not a price quote or appointment. For urgent service, contact an operating plumber directly.
